With Celestia's death and Luna's disappearance, Twilight and Cadence are forced to shoulder the responsibility of protecting the Kingdom. The battle against the griffons had been long and arduous, but after years of struggle, they are finally about to push the griffons out of Equestria. Jet Set gives the biggest boost to Stability and a boost to the construction of defensive stuff, like land fortifications. The Shadowbolts provide boosts to mining and their forces hit harder at night. Sending the General provides the night attack bonus, makes their forces more organized, and improves production efficiency for military hardware.Jet Set and the Shadowbolts both get access to an economic reform that eventually gives New Mareland some good industrial bonuses.

Judging by Greneclyf's trade deal with Chrysalis from our Changeling run, the world is shaped such that one can travel horizontally across the map and end up in the same place- IE some of sort sphere, or maybe a cylinder. The environment gets colder as you head north, and hotter as you go south.Thus, I assume that the EaW map is of the Northern Hemisphere of whatever world this takes place om; I'll can it 'Equis'. Judging by the land and seamass of the northern hemisphere, this 'Equis' is probably slightly smaller than our Earth.Keep in mind, however, that I am pulling all of this out of my ass.
